This is an important precedent I have been referring to for one of my designs (the wrapped cocoon like one). I have been looking at a designing a Minima which can be packed up and taken away easily- sort of like a tent. As you can see in this image, the 'cloud' like structure is made of nylon and is inflated with air. This is probably one of the ways I can construct mine.
Only thing i have wondered since presenting yesterday...if I did construct my Minim like this.. what would happen if a structure lik this were placed outdoors? Seeing it is so light, would it fly away? Should I design it with some sort of fixing system?
